Business Planning Consulting

A complete, bankable business plan. A compelling pitch deck. And the personal coaching to stand in front of any room and defend your plan with authority. Plan. Deck. Delivery.

The Complete Package

Three deliverables. One integrated engagement. Everything you need to walk into that bank meeting, investor presentation, or client pitch prepared to win.

The Business Plan

A complete, professionally structured plan covering all fifteen sections — bankable, evidence-based, and built to survive due diligence.

The Pitch Deck

A professional slide presentation — not a condensed plan, but a visual argument. Twelve to fifteen slides built to persuade your specific audience.

Presentation Training

Six structured coaching sessions to ensure you command the room, handle the hard questions, and close with confidence — not perform nervously.

The Business Plan

Fifteen sections. Every number sourced. Every assumption documented. Built the way consultants build investment memoranda — from the evidence outward.

Most business plans are written from templates. The sections are present, the language is professional, the numbers are there — but a trained eye sees immediately that the argument has not been made. These plans do not get funded. We build plans differently.

Bankable

Structured around CAMPARI and DSCR — the exact criteria used by Ugandan and East African lenders. Every number is internally consistent and the debt service coverage ratio is prominently stated.

Evidence-Based

Every market size claim is sourced. Every competitive advantage is substantiated — not asserted. We apply a due diligence audit to every section before delivery.

Strategically Sound

The financial model is stress-tested against four scenarios. The risk register has real mitigations with named owners and dates. The market analysis is MECE.

Executable

Every milestone maps to a specific action, a responsible person, a regulatory requirement, and a realistic lead time. The plan describes a business that can actually be run.

The Pitch Deck

A visual argument, not a summary document. Designed to persuade the specific audience you are presenting to before the ask is even made.

Twelve to fifteen slides, each built around a single assertion, supported by one piece of visual evidence. Whether you are presenting to a bank credit committee, a DFI programme officer, or an angel investor — the narrative is constructed for that room.

  • Narrative structure that draws the audience toward the ask before it is made
  • Financial slides headlined with conclusions, not labels
  • Assertion-evidence structure: one claim, one visual proof per slide
  • Specific, confident ask supported by everything that came before it
  • Readable in five minutes; presentable in twenty — with no doubt left in the room

Presentation & Pitch Training

Six structured sessions. By the end, you are not performing — you are commanding the room.

The plan and the deck are only as powerful as the person presenting them. We work with you personally to ensure that when you walk into that bank meeting or investor presentation, you are prepared for every question, every challenge, and every dynamic in the room.

Session 1

Your Narrative

The single most important thing the audience needs to walk out knowing. We find it, refine it, make it second nature.

Session 2

The Pitch Frame

How to position yourself as the prize — not the supplicant. The psychology of a funding conversation.

Session 3

Content Mastery

Know every number cold. Know where it comes from, how it was calculated, and how to defend it if challenged.

Session 4

Delivery

Voice pace, eye contact, managing nerves. Recorded, reviewed, and improved.

Session 5

Q&A Simulation

The ten hardest questions your audience will ask — and the exact bridging technique to handle each one.

Session 6

The Close

The exact words for the closing request. Practised until it feels natural, not rehearsed. Dress rehearsal included.

Who This Service Is For

Business planning that meets you where you are — whether you are applying for your first loan, raising equity, or rebuilding after a rejection.

Entrepreneurs Applying for Loans

Applying to Centenary Bank, Stanbic, ABSA, dfcu, Equity Bank, the Uganda Development Bank, or any DFI? Your application competes with dozens. A professionally structured plan significantly increases your probability of approval — and may determine the terms you receive.

Business Owners Seeking Investment

Raising angel funding, impact investment, or a venture capital round? Investors receive hundreds of plans. Most are rejected in the first five pages. The difference between those that advance and those that don't is almost always the quality of the argument — not the quality of the business.

Established Businesses Expanding

An expansion that requires capital, a new joint venture, a government tender, or a strategic partnership almost always requires a formal plan. The rigour of the plan signals the rigour of the management team.

Entrepreneurs Who Have Been Declined

Applied for funding before and been declined — or received feedback that your plan was weak? We diagnose exactly what the lender found unconvincing and rebuild from there. A declined application is not a failed business — it is an unfinished argument.

Business Plan Consultants

Running a consulting practice and need a skills upgrade or a structured methodology for the plans you produce? This service can be adapted for professional development, providing the frameworks, templates, and quality standards to elevate your practice.

Our Process

A structured six-week engagement, designed to deliver a complete, submission-ready package.

1
Week 1

Discovery

We interview you, study your business, and gather everything needed: existing financial records, customer data, supplier relationships, market knowledge, and your goals. We ask the same hard questions an investor or bank will ask — and identify every gap that must be filled before submission.

2
Weeks 1–2

Research & Structuring

We conduct independent market research, validate your financial assumptions against benchmarks, and build the analytical foundation of the plan. We do not fabricate numbers. Every figure has a source.

3
Weeks 2–4

Plan Development

We write all fifteen sections, build the full financial model — five-year projections, monthly cash flow, DSCR calculation, break-even analysis, and sensitivity tables — and produce the risk register and implementation timeline. You review each section and we incorporate your feedback.

4
Week 4

Deck Design

We design the pitch deck, structure the narrative to match your specific audience, design each slide to the assertion-evidence standard, and ensure every financial slide is headlined with a conclusion.

5
Weeks 4–6

Presentation Training

Six sessions: story and frame, content mastery, delivery fundamentals, Q&A simulation, dress rehearsal, and day-of briefing. Sessions are conducted in person in Kampala or by video call.

6
Final

Delivery

You receive: the bound business plan document, the pitch deck file, a speaker notes version of the deck, your personalised Q&A preparation sheet, and a day-of checklist.

What Makes This Different

We build plans the way consultants build investment memoranda — from the evidence outward, not from the template inward.

Most business plans are written from templates. The sections are present, the language is professional, the numbers are there — but a trained eye sees immediately that the argument has not been made. The market data is top-down and unsourced. The competitive advantages are assertions. The financial projections have no assumptions page. The risk register is generic. These plans do not get funded.

Our financial model is built on assumptions that can be defended. The risk register identifies risks that are real — with mitigation actions that can actually be taken. And then we make sure you can present it. Because a plan that lives in a folder achieves nothing. The plan that gets funded is the one where the entrepreneur walks into the room, holds the frame, states the ask with precision, handles the hard questions without flinching, and closes with confidence.

This service draws on methodologies from Minto's Pyramid Principle, McKinsey's MECE framework, Damodaran's valuation standards, Klaff's STRONG method, Duarte's Sparkline narrative structure, Howson's due diligence framework, and the CAMPARI criteria used by East African lenders.
